Asheville Disc Golf Summit

Western North Carolina Disc Golf Association is excited to host, for the community and region, a three round B-tier tournament at our three City of Asheville and Buncombe County courses: Richmond Hill, Sand Hill, and Lake Julian.

Course order may change but will be solidified by April 1st.

Divisions assigned to each pool may change based on registration.

Layouts may differ between pools.

Pass Through Fees

$4 from each player for PDGA Fees

$3 from each player goes to WNCDGA, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, to further our mission

$0 from each player for greens fees (WNCDGA's partnership with Buncombe County Parks & Recreation and City of Asheville Parks & Recreation allows for no greens fees).

Amateur Player Pack

Custom Event Long Sleeve Hooded UPF Shirt (see picture tab).

Amateur Payouts

We will be offering Amateur payouts at any of three local retailers: Another Round Asheville, AVL Disc Golf, and Play It Again Sports Asheville.

Because we are offering Amateur payouts, Amateurs may play Pro and elect to receive voucher payout.

100% of amateur net entry will be distributed through players packs and prizes.

Trophies

All Pro divisions with 2 or more competitors will be awarded a First Place trophy only.

Amateur divisions will have trophies awarded based on field size:

1 player: no trophy

2-4 players: First Place only

5-12 players: First and Second place

13 or more players: First, Second, and Third place

Pro Division Cap

Pro Division is capped at 58 (40% of the field)

Playoffs

If there is a tie for first place, a sudden victory playoff will determine the winner. Playoff layout will be same as Round 3 layout.

PDGA Membership Requirement

Per PDGA Competition Manual [5.05] PDGA membership is required.

Hole Sponsorship

18 hole sponsorships will be available for purchase for $75 each. Each sponsor will be recognized on the same hole on all three courses.

Clinics

WNCDGA is partnering with Buncombe County Parks and Recreation to offer three clinics. Dates are TBA.

Waitlist

Players will be added off the waitlist in the order in which they signed up by each Pool. The Pro division cap of 58 will still be in place.
